NAPIT - National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers
We are registered with NAPIT, they are the fastest growing scheme provider in England and Wales. We joined NAPIT because of their fantastic reputation. They have been trading for 15 years and cover not only electrical work but also plumbing and heating.
Napit assess an electricians competency before they are allowed to join their scheme.
They send out an electrical assessor (someone with exstensive experience in the industry), who looks at some of the applicants previous work and scrutinizes it with a fine tooth comb.
He will then ask the applicants to perform a series of tests on the installtion to prove their competency in Inspection & Testing.
Finally the assessor will quiz the applicant on his knowledge of electrical systems. If the assessor is happy with the applicants competency in all areas, only then will he allow him to join their scheme.
